Elementary School Students (including kindergarteners) - less than .75 miles from home to school

Middle School Students  - less than 1.5 miles from home to school

Semester Bus Pass Renewals

Semester bus passes must be renewed no later than January 27, 2020 in order to continue riding at the start of 2nd semester, February 3, 2020.

Mail a check or money order payable to NMUSD Transportation and reference the student's ID # in the memo line or pay online beginning January 6, 2020 through MySchoolBucks.

1) Complete online application for each student.

Must have student ID # and active email address to submit application.

 2) Submit payment.

After receiving an approval email from Transportation, an invoice will be submitted to MySchoolBucks for credit card payments.  Please allow 8 hours for invoice to appear.

Please Note: An account with MySchoolBucks must be created and student's ID # linked to your account in order to view our transportation invoice.

3) Pick up official bus pass at school site.

The official bus pass will be sent to the school site.  Please allow 2 days from the time of receiving the temporary bus pass via email.

Students who do not present their official bus pass or temporary bus pass email to the bus driver will be denied transportation.


Free or Reduced Bus Pass Requirements

To qualify for a free or reduced bus pass:   

  1. Complete the online bus pass application
  2. Complete Supplemental Income Form
  3. Provide copies of income for all members of the household as follows:
  • Last year's Federal Income Tax with proof of submission and W-2 form
  • Plus any of the following documents:
    • 2 mos worth of current bank statements
    • 2 mos worth of paystubs or pension (no more than 60 days old)
    • Notice of Action Letter (Welfare, Food Stamps or Medical) no more than 6 mos old
    • Unemployment Documentation
    • State Current Disability Documentation
    • Evidence of child support

Additional documents may be requested to determine eligibility.

Mail-ins not accepted.
