GR 7 - 12 Secondary Curriculum

The Department of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for managing and supervising the instructional program in grades 7-12.  This responsibility includes:

  • Maintaining the District Courses of Study list and the district course codes,
  • Monitoring the district UC/CSU A-G course approvals and NCAA Clearinghouse course information,
  • Supervising the process for creating and approving new district courses of study,
  • Coordinating the work of the subject area Secondary Curriculum Committees,
  • Developing and implementing special and/or innovative new programs and projects,
  • Facilitating the adoption of new textbooks and the purchase of all textbooks and related instructional materials.
