COVID-19 Employee Information

High Risk Symptoms

  • Fever (>100.4)
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Loss of Taste/Smell
  • New Onset of Cough
  • Fatigue/Muscle or Body Aches

Low Risk Symptoms

  • Congestion/Runny Nose
  • Nausea/Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Sore Throat
  • Stay home
  • Report your absence utilizing your leave accrual (sick leave)
  • One (1) low risk symptom:
    • Off work for 24 hours after symptom resolution (without symptom reducing medication)
  • Multiple low risk symptoms OR 1 or more high risk symptoms:
    • Off work until the following criteria is met:
      •  24 hours resolution of fever without symptom reducing medication AND
      • Other symptoms have improved AND
      • Negative COVID-19 test OR a healthcare provider attributes symptoms to a chronic or alternative named diagnosis OR at least 10 days have passed since symptom onset
  • Stay home
  • Report your absence utilizing your leave accrual (sick leave)
  • Contact the COVID Intake line at: intake
  • An intake team member will contact you within 48 hours to give direction:
    • Isolation timeline:
      • 10 days or
      • Testing options to shorten isolation timeline:
        • 5 days since onset of symptoms and 24 hours resolution of fever without fever reducing medication and improved symptoms and a negative test (antigen test recommended) taken on or after day 5
      • Return to work guidelines
  • Must wear a well-fitting mask around other people for the 10 days

A close contact is within 6 feet for > 15 minutes.

  • You may go to work and monitor symptoms
  • Consider testing on day 5 or 7
  • Monitor symptoms; if you develop symptoms – follow the guidelines under symptoms.
  • Must wear a well-fitting mask around other people for 10 days

    • Return to work guidelines
  • Must wear a well-fitting mask around other people for the 10 days
