HCPTA Meetings & Event Calendar 2017 - 2018

 

 

Harbor Council PTA meetings are held at the NMUSD Boardroom located at 2985 Bear Street Costa Mesa, CA 92626, except the December 4, 2017, the Holiday Luncheon, and the May 7, 2018, the Honorary Service Awards Luncheon. The meetings commence at 9:00 a.m. and are not open to the public.  The HCPTA meetings are open to the current PTA Presidents and the Harbor Council Executive Board.

Good afternoon Presidents,

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Tehnaz Rutledge and I am the HCPTA membership chair for fourth district.  I would like ask for, and share some information with you as get ready to begin registration, and your membership campaigns.

1.  Please send me the email address of your current membership chairs.  I had asked this of last year's President's but to date I have only received a handful of emails.

 

2. Please ask your membership chairs to join the HCPTA Fourth District Membership Information Group on Facebook.  I have created this group so that membership chairs can have access to information that they can readily share with their respective groups.  Presidents may also join.  

 

3. Here is some information that I recently shared on the Facebook Page:

 

A) Membership chairs your incentives and membership cards are ready to be picked up. Incentives include: Discovery Cube coupons; Dave & Busters coupons; Aquarium of the Pacific coupons (Elementary Schools only).  

 

B) HCPTA membership chairs!!! Here are some great reasons to get those membership drives in gear!!!! Your Fourth District Harbor Council is giving away prizes!!!! Let your Presidents know ASAP!!!!!!

The first Two elementary schools having a 20% membership increase by Dec. 1, 2017 will receive $500.00 each to be spent on classroom supplies, PE equipment or library supplies.

The first middle school having a 20% membership increase by Dec. 1, 2017 will receive $500.00 to be spent on classroom supplies, PE equipment or library supplies.

The first high school having a 20% membership increase by Dec. 1, 2017 will receive a $500.00 student scholarship.

The first three (3) schools to attain 100% teacher participation by Dec. 1, 2017 (with Principal verification) will receive a $250.00 to be used for a teacher breakfast. (money will be reimbursed to unit upon receipt) Certificates will be given at Harbor Council Luncheon.

Fourth District PTA

 
 

Welcome to the 2017-18 school year! It's time to start planning for your PTA year. Save the date for the 4th District PTA Fall Training Workshops.  There will be training for Presidents/Executive Vice Presidents, Financial Officers, Auditors, Membership chairs, Secretaries, Historians, and Parliamentarians and some of the classes will be offered in Spanish as well. 

 

There are two dates to save

 

Evening classes:

Tuesday, Sept. 5th at Orange County Dept of Ed, Costa Mesa from

6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

 

Morning classes:  

Thursday, Sept. 7th at National University, Costa Mesa

9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
