Inter-District Transfers
Outgoing Inter-District Transfers
Applies to students residing within NMUSD boundaries and are requesting to attend a school outside of NMUSD.
- Complete the Inter-District Transfer Form
- Ensure that all fields are answered and signature and initials are included
- Email the completed form to Student Services at jpina@nmusd.us
- You will receive a response within 48 hours
- If you are unable to complete the process electronically, please email jpina@nmusd.us or leave a detailed message at (714) 424-5020 and we will send you the form via US postal mail
Incoming Inter-District Transfers
Applies to students residing outside of NMUSD boundaries and are requesting to attend a school within NMUSD.
- Contact your district of residence and request the Inter-District transfer form, which includes a release signature from that district
- Once you have the completed form, scan and email the form to Student Services at jpina@nmusd.us to initiate the request process
- Once received, responses will be issued in writing within 48 business hours
Community Home Education Program (CHEP)
- Please email your completed Community School Referral to Student Services at samici@nmusd.us
- You will receive a response within 48 hours
- Visit the Orange County Department of Education’s CHEP page for forms such as Community School Referral
Withdrawal Requests from NMUSD
- Complete the Parent Assurance For Student Withdrawal form
- Email it to Student Services at samici@nmusd.us along with your request for withdrawal
- You will receive a response within 48 hours. Requests will be forwarded to appropriate school personnel for review and action
