Employee Recognition
In January of 2000, the Newport-Mesa Unified School District implemented the PRIDE employee recognition program (Proudly Recognizing Individuals Demonstrating Excellence). The Super-Star Awards program evolved from input by members of the community, District employees, and from the Board of Education's original PRIDE program.
The program was designed to recognize employees whose outstanding performance contributes to or enhances the District’s mission to graduate students who have acquired the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to achieve significant career, educational, civic, and personal goals, which will enrich our society. Celebrating excellence is an important part of the Board of Education's recognition of the contribution made by the employees of the NMUSD.
Information regarding future nominations is yet to be determined.
